These Terms of Service apply to the Gateway Auto Locksmith website and mobile automotive locksmith services. By using our website, submitting a service request, calling, texting, scheduling service, or accepting service from us, you agree to these terms.
Services Provided
Gateway Auto Locksmith provides mobile automotive locksmith services, which may include vehicle lockouts, car key replacement, key programming, lost-all-keys service, smart key services, key fob battery replacement, and related automotive locksmith assistance. Service availability may vary by vehicle, key type, location, parts availability, security requirements, and technician assessment.
Customer Authorization
You confirm that you are the owner, authorized driver, authorized representative, or otherwise legally permitted to request locksmith service for the vehicle. We may refuse service if ownership or authorization cannot be verified.
Identification and Proof of Ownership
For safety and legal compliance, customers may be required to provide valid identification, vehicle registration, insurance, title, rental agreement, company authorization, or other proof before work begins. We may decline or stop service if verification is not provided.
Quotes, Estimates, and Pricing
Any price given by phone, text, website, or message is an estimate based on the information provided by the customer. Final pricing may change after the technician inspects the vehicle, confirms the key type, verifies service requirements, reviews parts availability, identifies security systems, or determines additional work is needed. You will be informed of the final price before work begins when practical.
Deposits and Advance Payments
Some jobs may require a deposit or advance payment before dispatching a technician, ordering parts, reserving appointment time, or beginning work. Deposits may be applied toward the final invoice. Deposits may be non-refundable when a technician is dispatched, parts are ordered, appointment time is reserved, or the customer cancels after work has begun.
Payments
Payment is due when service is completed unless otherwise agreed in writing. We may accept cash, card, digital payment, or other available payment methods. Returned payments, chargebacks, disputed payments, or unpaid balances may result in collection activity, additional fees, or refusal of future service.
Cancellations and No-Show Policy
If you need to cancel or reschedule, contact us as soon as possible. Cancellation fees may apply if the technician has already been dispatched, has arrived, or if special parts were ordered for your job. If the customer is not present, cannot be reached, or cannot provide proof of authorization, the job may be treated as a no-show.
Vehicle Condition and Risk
Automotive locksmith work can involve locks, doors, ignition systems, keys, remotes, modules, electronics, immobilizer systems, batteries, and programming procedures. We use reasonable care and professional tools, but older vehicles, worn locks, damaged keys, aftermarket parts, dead batteries, prior damage, or electronic faults may affect service results. Gateway Auto Locksmith is not responsible for pre-existing vehicle issues or failures unrelated to our work.
Key Programming and Compatibility
Key programming success depends on vehicle condition, correct key type, immobilizer status, security access, module communication, battery voltage, and manufacturer requirements. Some vehicles may require dealer-only procedures, additional parts, security gateway access, PIN codes, towing, or further diagnosis. We do not guarantee that every key or remote can be programmed in every situation.
Parts, Keys, and Remotes
Keys, remotes, smart keys, batteries, blades, shells, chips, and related parts may be OEM, aftermarket, universal, refurbished, or customer-supplied depending on availability and customer approval. Customer-supplied parts are not guaranteed and may not be returnable or programmable.
Service Times and Availability
Arrival times and completion times are estimates only. Traffic, weather, distance, prior jobs, parts availability, vehicle condition, and technical complications may cause delays. We are not responsible for losses caused by delays.
Customer Responsibilities
You are responsible for providing accurate vehicle information, service location, contact information, proof of authorization, safe access to the vehicle, and payment upon completion. You are also responsible for removing valuables when needed and keeping children, pets, and bystanders away from the work area.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Gateway Auto Locksmith is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, lost-profit, towing, rental car, missed appointment, or delay-related damages. Our maximum liability for any claim is limited to the amount paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim.
No Guarantee of Website Availability
We try to keep the website accurate and available, but we do not guarantee that the website will always be error-free, uninterrupted, current, or secure.
