Do you come to my location?

Yes. Gateway Auto Locksmith is a mobile automotive locksmith service. We come to your vehicle at your home, workplace, parking lot, or roadside location when service is available.

What areas do you serve?

We serve Eastvale and surrounding Inland Empire communities including Corona, Ontario, Riverside, Jurupa Valley, Chino, Chino Hills, Fontana, Rancho Cucamonga, Norco, and the full service area list shown on our Service Areas page.

What are your service hours?

Mobile appointments are available daily from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM. Emergency or same-day availability depends on schedule, location, vehicle type, and parts availability.

Do I need proof of ownership?

Yes. For vehicle unlocking, key replacement, key programming, and all keys lost service, proof of ownership and a valid photo ID may be required before work begins.

Can you unlock my car without damage?

In most cases, professional lockout tools allow us to open the vehicle without damage. Some vehicles may require special procedures depending on the lock system and condition of the vehicle.

Vehicle Keys & Programming

Can you make a key if all keys are lost?

For many vehicles, yes. We review the year, make, model, key type, and immobilizer system before confirming whether all-keys-lost service is available.

Can you program smart keys and push-to-start keys?

Yes, many smart keys and proximity keys can be programmed. Availability depends on the vehicle, key type, security system, and whether the correct key is available.

Can you make duplicate car keys?

Yes. If you already have a working key, duplicate key service is usually easier and less expensive than all-keys-lost service.

Do you replace key fob batteries?

Yes. We can replace many common key fob batteries and check whether the remote is responding after battery replacement.

My key fob battery is new but the car still does not detect the key. Can you help?

Possibly. The issue may be the fob, programming, vehicle antenna, immobilizer, or push-start system. We can review the symptoms and advise the next step.

Can you cut laser/high-security keys?

For many vehicles, yes. High-security key cutting depends on the key blank, vehicle information, and available equipment.

Can you program transponder keys?

Yes, many transponder chip keys can be programmed. Some vehicles may need additional security access or special procedures.

Can you service European vehicles like BMW, Mercedes, Audi, or Volkswagen?

Some European vehicles require special tools, dealer-level access, or advance key ordering. Contact us with the exact year, make, model, and key situation so we can review it before confirming.

Can you work on Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Hyundai, Kia, Ford, GM, Jeep, Dodge, Chrysler, and Ram?

Yes, these are common automotive locksmith vehicles. Exact service depends on the year, model, key type, and security system.

Do you service motorcycles?

Our main focus is automotive passenger vehicles. Motorcycle service may be limited, so please contact us with details.

Do you service homes or commercial door locks?

Our website is focused on automotive locksmith services. Residential or commercial lock work may not be available unless specifically confirmed.

Do you provide roadside assistance towing?

No. We provide mobile automotive locksmith services. If the vehicle has mechanical or towing-related issues, you may need a tow company or mechanic.

Pricing, Deposits & Payments

How much does a car lockout cost?

Pricing depends on location, vehicle type, time, and complexity. We review the job details before confirming the final price.

How much does car key replacement cost?

Cost depends on the vehicle year, make, model, key type, whether you have a working key, and whether programming is required.

Why is all-keys-lost service more expensive than duplicate key service?

All-keys-lost service usually requires additional security steps, key generation, cutting, programming, and verification because no working key is available.

Do you require a deposit?

For some confirmed jobs, a deposit may be required before travel, ordering a key, or reserving a time slot. Deposit terms will be explained before payment.

Are deposits refundable?

Deposit refunds depend on the situation, travel, parts ordered, and cancellation timing. Any deposit terms should be confirmed before payment.

What payment methods do you accept?

Accepted payment methods may include cash, card, Zelle, or other approved payment options. Payment details should be confirmed before the job.

Can I pay after the job is completed?

For many jobs, payment is due when service is completed. Some jobs may require a deposit or parts payment before arrival or before key programming.

Before & During Service

What information should I provide when requesting service?

Please provide your name, phone number, vehicle year, make, model, location, service needed, and whether you have a working key.

Do I need the VIN number?

Sometimes. VIN may help confirm vehicle details, but proof of ownership may still be required.

Can you guarantee every key will program successfully?

No locksmith can guarantee every programming attempt before diagnosis. Some vehicles may have immobilizer, ECU, antenna, battery, or module issues that prevent programming.

What happens if the car has a security gateway or special access requirement?

Some vehicles require special access, bypass cables, security credentials, or dealer-level procedures. We review vehicle details before confirming service.

Can you erase lost or stolen keys from the vehicle?

For many vehicles, lost keys can be removed from memory during programming. Availability depends on the vehicle system.

Will my old key still work after programming a new key?

It depends on the programming method and vehicle. In duplicate-key jobs, the old key usually remains active. In all-keys-lost situations, old keys may be erased when supported.

Can you program a key I bought online?

Sometimes. Customer-supplied keys may not be compatible, may be locked, wrong frequency, wrong chip, or poor quality. Programming is not guaranteed for customer-supplied keys.

Can you bring the key with you?

If the key is in stock, yes. If not, we may need to order it or schedule the service after the correct key is available.

What if you do not have my key in stock?

We can review options, including ordering the correct key or scheduling the job once the key is available.

How long does a lockout service take?

Many lockouts are completed quickly, but timing depends on location, vehicle type, lock condition, and access.

How long does key programming take?

Programming time varies widely by vehicle. Some jobs are quick, while others require longer security procedures or troubleshooting.

Can you help if my key broke inside the ignition or door lock?

Key extraction may be possible depending on the condition of the lock and where the key is broken.

Can you repair or replace ignitions?

Ignition service may be available for some vehicles, but it depends on the vehicle and parts availability. Contact us with details.

Can you fix a remote that stopped working?

We can check the battery, remote signal, and programming options. Some remotes may need replacement.

Can you help if my car battery is dead?

A dead car battery can prevent key programming or vehicle communication. You may need to charge or replace the vehicle battery before service can be completed.

Do you work on vehicles with aftermarket alarms?

Aftermarket alarms or remote-start systems may affect diagnosis and programming. Please tell us if your vehicle has aftermarket electronics.

Requests, Scheduling & Policies

Do you provide warranty on keys or programming?

Warranty terms depend on the key, parts used, vehicle condition, and service performed. Warranty does not usually cover vehicle electrical issues or customer-supplied parts.

Can you make keys for fleet or business vehicles?

Yes, fleet key service may be available by appointment. Please provide vehicle list, location, and key requirements.

Can you help with rental cars?

Rental car service usually requires authorization from the rental company and proof that you are allowed to request locksmith service.

Can you unlock a car if my child or pet is inside?

If a child, pet, or person is in danger, call 911 immediately. Emergency responders should handle life-safety situations.

Can I request service online?

Yes. You can submit the service request form and we will review the details, call or text you back, confirm pricing, and schedule if available.

Will submitting the form confirm my appointment?

No. A request form submission is not a confirmed appointment until we contact you and confirm the job details, price, and arrival window.

Do you text customers?

Yes, we may call or text you about your request, appointment, estimate, or service updates.

Do you provide receipts?

Yes, receipts may be provided upon request after payment is completed.

Do you have hidden fees?

We aim to provide clear pricing before confirming the job. Final price can depend on the actual vehicle, location, key type, and condition found on-site.

What should I do before the locksmith arrives?

Have your ID, proof of ownership, vehicle information, and payment method ready. Make sure the vehicle is accessible and safely parked.

Can you come to parking garages or gated communities?

Yes, if access is available. Please provide gate codes, parking level, stall number, or clear directions.

Can you service my vehicle if it is at an auction, dealership, or repair shop?
